IRS Representation
As an Enrolled Agent, I'm federally licensed to represent you directly before the IRS and state tax agencies—with the same rights as CPAs and tax attorneys.
What is an Enrolled Agent?
Enrolled Agents are federally authorized tax practitioners enrolled to practice before the IRS by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. We've passed a rigorous three-part IRS examination covering individual taxes, business taxes, and representation procedures.
Enrolled Agents specialize exclusively in taxation. We have unlimited practice rights—meaning we can represent any taxpayer, on any tax matter, before any IRS office.
How I can help
IRS Notice Responses
Received a letter from the IRS? Don't panic—and don't ignore it. Many notices are routine and easy to resolve. I'll review the notice, explain what it means in plain language, and handle the response on your behalf so you don't have to deal with the IRS directly.
Audit Representation
If you're selected for an audit (correspondence or in-person), I'll represent you throughout the process. From gathering documentation to communicating with the examiner, I handle everything so you don't have to face the IRS alone.
Payment Plans & Installment Agreements
If you owe taxes you can't pay in full, there are options. I can help you pursue an installment agreement, determine if you may qualify for currently-not-collectible status, or explore other resolution paths based on your financial situation.
Penalty Abatement
The IRS may waive penalties if you have reasonable cause—illness, natural disaster, reliance on bad advice, or first-time penalty situations. I can evaluate your case and may submit abatement requests where appropriate.
Back Tax Filing
Haven't filed in several years? I can help you get caught up. We'll work through each unfiled year, often finding that the situation isn't as bad as you fear. Getting current is almost always better than waiting.
Oregon Department of Revenue
I also represent clients before Oregon's Department of Revenue for state-specific issues, including state audit responses, payment arrangements, and penalty protests.
What to expect
- Confidential review of your situation—no judgment
- Clear explanation of your options and likely outcomes
- Power of Attorney (Form 2848) filed so I communicate with the IRS on your behalf
- You no longer have to answer IRS calls or letters directly
- Regular updates on case progress until resolution
Don't wait to get help
Tax issues rarely get better with time. IRS deadlines are strict—most notices require a response within 30-60 days. Penalties and interest continue to accrue on unpaid balances. The sooner you reach out, the more options we'll have to resolve your situation favorably.
